The Olympics are all over and hopefully London will be back to normal soon!!... (Hurry up Boris and give us our roads back!!). Well done to Team GB for a fantastic haul of medals.... If only there had been a shagging competition - our Don would have been up for a gold medal!....

Here are two new clips for this months newsletter.

Clip 1 is the death scene of Petra from the first act. In the original this is sung by two Baritones and a Bass. In our version we have a Soprano, Mezzo, and a Baritone.... all the notes are the same but in a different register and the sound is a wonderful 're-hearing' of Mozart's original. This clip really symbolizes what we are all about. The Comendatore is killed in a duel in the original, we managed an 'accident' with a kitchen knife to kill Petra when she goes for the Don for deflowering her son.....

Clip 2, Here the Don sings his 'Champagne aria' which has the most magical re-write done by Ranjit Bolt. We now call it the 'Heinous Penis' number... Duncan sings this wonderfully as he extols the virtues of promiscuity..... Also a quick glimpse of Duncan with his shirt off!!!... all good fun

Also this month, Ranjit Bolt has a new version of Cyrano de Bergerac opening on Broadway in New York. Douglas Hodge stars in the lead role and the show is set to preview from the 14th September at the American Airlines Theatre as a production for Roundabout Theatre Co.... we wish him all the luck in the world with this new venture, and knowing Ranjit we are sure this audience are in for a real treat.

We are still in discussions with MAD (Make A Difference) Trust about working together.

Also on the 2nd September we went to the MAD event at Cafe de Paris 'West-End Bares' which was a hilarious and fun filled evening of a huge collection of west-end cast members dancing and getting down to the buff to various re-written songs with an Olympic theme. This was so much fun we are all looking forward to there Christmas event due early December. Here is there link.... it's worth going to....

Followers of Duncan Rock might like to know he is back at ENO from 13th September as Papageno in Nicholas Hytner's acclaimed production. Duncan has also just been named as the first winner of the Susan Chilcott award. A handsome prize of £10k towards his training and career development - Congratulations!

We have been asked by the opera fan blog 'Barihunks' to supply some photos of Duncan for possible use in next years calender.... so more news about that when we have it. Here is their link in the meantime.

23 Dec, 2011
- In the Summer of 2009 we performed the final scene of Act 1 to critical acclaim on the main stage at Trafalgar Square for Pride. Ranjit Bolt translated the libretto, Roland Lee handled the arrangements (and Vince Clarke of pop legends Erasure adapted the ballroom scene minuet as a fantastic club tune.)
